<image:title>Welcome - Samantha M.</image:title>
<image:caption>“I am so lucky to have gotten to work with Katrina in the past and see her bringing her skills to more and more people through private training. Katrina is super knowledgeable and passionate about training and does a great job of explaining her process so you can continue to carry on and practice with your dog even after the lesson is over. She really understands how dogs learn and helps that make sense to people. We just had a lesson on Sunday and after practicing over the past 2 days with our dog, we’re already seeing so much progress!”</image:caption>

<image:caption>Kat has incredible expertise, and she and her staff are amazing. My reactive, anxious, rescue pitbull and I have come so far in one year of training by Kat. Other dog walkers we pass in the park say it's remarkable how far we've come: Bella is a relaxed, happy and obedient dog and I have learned the skills to communicate with her effectively. Five-plus stars!!</image:caption>

<image:title>Welcome - Chris L.</image:title>
<image:caption>I found Katrina after I had already worked with two dog trainers previously. I had heard really good things about her and was willing to seek most tools for my dog. Before I had started working with Katrina I had only wanted to do positive training and I didn’t know much about balanced training and had judgements about it. My dog, Virga, is a 3.5 year old blue heeler mix rescue that I have been with for almost 2 years. I was not able to walk Virga on a street with most cars, loud trucks, bicycles, joggers, scooters and certain people because of her lunging and barking at them. Virga is not aggressive and in my opinion would not bite. She was mostly leash reactive. We mostly stayed on side streets and in the woods. This really took an emotional toll on me and I was seriously contemplating re-homing her. Katrina’s approach is really based on an individual need. Her care and attention to detail is on point. She never told me I had to do anything and always made sure Virga and I were comfortable with what we were doing. We worked together for about four months and we gained way more than I would’ve imagined in that short time. We spent a lot of time together and she got to really learn about Virga. Eventually we started using a prong collar which helped us immensely. I’m not sure we would have gotten to the place we have without that tool. I have gained so much knowledge about what Virga needs in each moment which has lead to her having much needed confidence. What I have learned is that Virga needs boundaries and that it is okay to use the proper tools to build our relationship. I would not have been able to do this without Katrina’s help. Seriously, I learned so much from Katrina and I use what I’ve learned on a moment to moment basis. Katrina is gentle and works at the pace needed for me and Virga. I felt cared for and heard in my needs and I especially felt that Virga was well taken care of. We worked both one on one and I would drop Virga off once a week for daycare. By the time we had finished our training we were using an e-collar which I still use when we are in open spaces and has helped give her the needed boundaries. Today Virga’s recall is the best it’s ever been. If I tell her to leave it while she is chasing a rabbit she immediately turns and comes to me. I never thought this would be possible. We are able to walk on a street in a city and she is not scared by the things she once was scared of. She will occasionally lunge at a person she is frightened by but I have the awareness to see what’s coming. I have built an amazing relationship with Virga and I wasn’t able to do it on my own. Katrina showed me what I needed to do in a way that I was able to digest and has made me an amazing dog owner. I have become an advocate for Virga and I am so glad I stuck with the training. I would highly recommend Katrina. She is amazing!</image:caption>

<image:caption>“I started having my dogs walk with Katrina October 2021. I cannot tell you what a difference she has made with them. Walking my two dogs could be stressful, anytime they saw a dog they would freak. After working with Katrina in a few private sessions and also a once weekly day program, they have made so much progress and I no longer dread walking them. She is so kind and generous when answering all my concerns and questions. I cannot say enough about how great she is. We are so lucky to have her close by!”</image:caption>

She has taught me many things I didn't know for ex: how to introduce new situations to him, how to trim his nails safely, how to read his behaviors etc... I always highly recommend her to anyone with dogs. Both Taco & I are more confident and it shows!”</image:caption>

<image:title>Introduction - OWNER & HEAD TRAINER</image:title>
<image:caption>As cliche as it might be, Katrina’s passion for the canine kind goes as far back as some of her first memories as a child. At 18 (2010) she dove into the pet care industry starting off as a kennel attendant at a local veterinarian hospital. A few months in she befriended the groomer on site and began shadowing her at multiple locations. Over the span of about 6 years, Katrina focused on her grooming career while also working in doggy daycares in Quincy, Hull and Boston. In 2018 she began managing a daycare facility in Stoughton while taking various online training courses and consuming as much knowledge as possible. At the end of 2019 the franchise facility was bought by the corporate company. Unable to stand by and support the way the company wanted things to be run, Katrina left in March 2020 and started The Canine Enrichment Company. Since then, she has continued her education and has no plans of stopping! When not working with clients, Katrina is often found working with her own dogs. She trials in a dog sport called GRC, and is club lead for South Shore GRC. Katrina and her Cattle Dog Klepto earned their SR3 title- They’re the 4th team in the world and the 3rd team in the United States to earn this title. They have also earned their SP1 and MR1 titles. Katrina and Arson have earned their SR2 title and are working hard towards their SR3. Outside of GRC they have been having fun Sheep Herding, trying out Agility, learning about Mondioring, playing disc games, Happy Ratters and more!</image:caption>

<image:title>South-Shore-GRC - CLUB RULES</image:title>
<image:caption>- We ask that everyone is available for the entire practice to help other teams with their training goals for the day. This means everyone is expected to help other teams when they aren't working a dog, whether that's coaching, trouble shooting, help setting up or breaking down, being a distraction or greeter, or simply keeping track of time. - While we will always do our best to run all dogs that come to practice, only club members are guaranteed a working spot. - If you have never been to one of our practices before, you must come and observe a practice without your dog first to get an idea of how things are run. Please let us know if you plan to come watch. - Please treat every dog as if it is aggressive. This means there should be absolutely no interaction with any dog without consent. This goes for dog/dog interaction as well as dog/human interaction. - If your dog has any issues with humans, it must be disclosed. We are all here to help reach each other’s goals, but everyone has the right to decide how much risk they are personally willing to take.</image:caption>
